Pesented by Dr. Sawalla Guseh and Katie Steward, CNP, MS of MGH's Cardiovascular Performance Center
During this hour‑long session, Dr. Sawalla Guseh and Katie Stewart, CNP, MS will explore how everyday training data—VO₂ max, FTP, and wearable metrics—can guide both performance and long‑term cardiovascular health.
Topics include:
Using established fitness metrics as indicators of cardiovascular health
Why endurance athletes still carry cardiac risk and how to assess it
Early warning signs that are often overlooked
Training strategies that support long‑term heart health
They’ll also share research on VO₂ max and longevity, plus new work with MIT’s Broad Institute using AI for non‑invasive VO₂ max prediction and cardiac rehabilitation.
Whether you’re chasing a marathon PR, aiming for Kona, tackling a Gran Fondo, or just interested in the latest science of cardiac performance, this session will help put your data to work for lifelong health and performance.
